Steven Meisel will always and forever be synonymous with Vogue Italia. After all, since shooting his very first cover for the Italian fashion bible for the July/August issue of 1988 (under the late great Franca Sozzani), a whole plethora of covers are now deemed iconic. Now under the control of Francesca Ragazzi, Meisel was welcomed back to capture the magazine’s 60th anniversary covers for September and is back once again for November 2024. The legendary American lensman points his lens toward Lana Del Rey, who makes her debut Vogue Italia appearance for the occasion, complete with styling from Karl Templer and a look from Miu Miu. The newlywed American singer-songwriter is all smiles in the joyous cover image, looking the picture of happiness as she gazes down Meisel’s masterful lens.

Campaigns subsequent to the first Meisel-shot offering for the Spring 2017 season have been nothing short of spectacular. Meisel’s 16th consecutive campaign last season resulted in a series of melancholic and cinematic images, featuring a handful of models of the moment. This season, for Fall 2024, the legendary American photographer is once again reunited with stylist Karl Templer and creative director Fabien Baron for his 17th Zara Studio campaign offering. Meisel points his lens toward models Mona Tougaard, Penelope Ternes, Lulu Tenney, Haojie Qi, and Sascha Rajasalu. The beauties are captured in crisp black and white, and later hoisted up upon giant billboards.

In addition, Swiss model Vivienne Rohner is welcomed back as the face of the collection which boasts classic pieces with emblematic shapes. Posing in the minimalist and chic campaign images, Vivienne reclines on a plush sofa, gazing down Meisel’s lens while captured in crisp black and white.
