Change is in the air within the HQs of the two largest and most prestigious French fashion houses. Rihanna is now the official face of the iconic Christian Dior J’adore fragrance, succeeding the long-serving Charlize Theron. Now, Margot Robbie is unveiled as the face of Chanel No.5.

Since March 2018, the Australian actress has enjoyed a relationship with the fabled French fashion house, having become a favorite of the late great Karl Lagerfeld. Lagerfeld dressed the I, Tonya star in custom Chanel Haute Couture for the 2018 Ocsars. Later in the month, Robbie’s Chanel duties became official and had the honor of being photographed by Lagerfeld for the Chanel Coco Neige advertising campaign.

Subsequent to signing on the dotted line as brand ambassador, Margot has made umpteen red carpet appearances and a handful of magazine covers appearances dressed in head-to-toe Chanel. Back in August 2019, Margot became the face of the Chanel Gabrielle fragrance. The blonde beauty posed for celebrated British fashion photographer Nick Knight. Furthermore, Margot Robbie posed her first Chanel makeup campaign, to mark the launch of the Rouge Allure lipstick. To say the Barbie actress is well versed fronting Chanel campaigns would be an understatement. Did we mention she’s the current face of the Chanel J12 watches?

As the face of No. 5, Robbie takes over from the French actress Marion Cotillard. The French actress had been the scent’s ambassador since 2020. Previous ambassadors of the fragrance include Nicole Kidman and Gisele Bündchen. In a statement, Robbie described her new role as “one of the most iconic fragrances in the world,” and said she was honored to join the “impressive lineage of women” who have been associated with the scent.

You might not need reminding we are currently in the midst of Haute Couture Paris Fashion Week. Today, all eyes are fixated on Chanel as the first show post Virginie Viard‘s abrupt departure as creative director is unveiled. As always, ahead of the show, Chanel released a series of teaser photographs which “offer a first glimpse of the collection presented by the Fashion Creation Studio”. The imagery features model-of-the-moment the firm forum favorite Lulu Tenney, and are perhaps the most beautiful the fabled French fashion house have produced – ever! Chanel regular Karim Sadli was called upon for the occasion. Sadli, his team and the American model roam Paris’ historic Palais Garnier (the same venue of the show). Tenney roams various different locations within the majestic opera house, showcasing the last couture creations from Viard.

The May 2024 issue of the publication unveils Naomi Campbell as its latest cover star. Naomi shows off her softer side in the crisp black and white cover photograph, looking effortless as she sports a Loewe t-shirt and a pair of Levi’s jeans.

Sébastien Meyer and Arnaud Vaillant of Coperni continue to break new ground within the world of fashion and during Paris Fashion Week, the duo unveiled a handbag made of 99% air and 1% glass (yes, seriously) which was ultimately the pièce de résistance of the Fall 2024 collection.

In a continued effort to push the envelope, Meyer and Vaillant request Coperni’s advertising campaign for the Spring 2024 season was captured on location at the Laboratoire national de métrologie et d’essais (one of Europe’s largest anechoic chambers) in Trappes, France. Echoing the theme of the show (a collection based on acoustics), industry fave Lulu Tenney poses within the unique sound-blocking setting which makes for a visually-arresting backdrop. The American model (who is also the face of Dolce & Gabbana this season) proves every inch her worth in the portrait campaign images, styled by Helena Tejedor and photographed by Karim Sadli.

Complete with Olivier Lalanne as editor, covers with Rianne van Rompaey, Imaan Hammam, Eva Herzigova and Laetitia Casta have blown us away (not to mention last month’s sublime offering starring Catherine Deneuve) and with the October 2023 edition, the French fashion title soars to new heights.
As the French fashion glossy unveils its latest, the fashion industry’s affection for Amelia Gray only continues to grow. The American model’s portfolio currently boasts a blue-chip campaign for Miu Miu and magazine covers for V Magazine and Vogue Japan. Now a Harper’s Bazaar France cover girl, Amelia can be found posing before the lens of Karim Sadli and brings some serious retro glamour to not one but two sensational covers. In cover one (below), Amelia is captured in Sadli’s signature black and white, posing topless wearing a flower-embroidered Prada skirt and a hat from the archives designed by Nicolas Ghesquière for Balenciaga. For the second alternative cover (after the jump), stylist Élodie David-Touboul dressed Amelia in a felt hat and plastic visor from Pierre Cardin, in addition to a nylon cape from Coperni.

Needless to say, Anna’s latest gig commanded the attention of our forum members. “You always know what you’re going to get from Anna Ewers and she does what she does well, but fashion loves using Anna over and over again to play the same narrow range of characters…” noted tigerrouge.
