Subsequent to joining Gucci as creative director in early 2023, Sabato De Sarno has been unable to catch a break. Under the Italian designer’s direction (in addition to declining sales), the luxury Italian fashion house’s advertising campaign imagery has seen better days. Not even campaigns lensed by David Sims and Mario Sorrenti (often starring a bevy of fresh-faced talents) have sufficed. Umpteen campaigns later, there are zero signs of improvement with chapter one of the Gucci Gift 2024 campaign for the festive holiday season ahead. In an attempt to generate buzz, De Sarno brought back Kendall Jenner as the face of Gucci, who is joined by Jessica Chastain, Hiandra Martínez, Lineisy Montero, and Ni Ni. The cast poses for Anthony Seklaoui, with the campaign opening up in a tribute to The Savoy in London (a nod to the hotel where founder Guccio Gucci worked as a porter).

Chen has posted multiple videos of the complete process and methods to create the easiest and most affordable Halloween costume ideas.

TikToker Allie Chen is DIY-ing Kendall Jenner’s forest fairy costume for Halloween 2024, and there’s something magical about the process. Chen posted a series of videos on her page to share the process of creating Jenner’s iconic outfit using wings and a tutu she bought from Shein for “less than 10 bucks” and a gold corset and feathers from Amazon. Other items required for the creation include metallic spray paint, wire, glitter, and Mod Podge from Walmart. Another mandatory item was clear, nude heels similar to those the supermodel sported for her Halloween costume.

Part 2 of creating Kendall Jenner’s Halloween costume required Chen to glue the feathers to the tutu in three layers. Then, the third part focused on the corset’s finishing touches using the leftover feathers. She fanned out the feather detailings in different directions on the top and bottom. The next few steps were to spray-paint the whole outfit in gold and work on the ready-made wings to make them more firm using a wire.

Chen then spray-painted the wings to match the remaining outfit. Part of the process was to try on the costume including the unique headpiece. In the next few steps, the TikToker attempted to wear it in different ways, including trying it on upside down only to realize that it was a different shade. Later, she spray-painted the accessory in the same gold as the costume for a complete match. As of now, Allie Chen has yet to post an ultimate look at the DIY recreation of Jenner’s forest fairy Halloween costume and to finalize the makeup.

In 2019, Jenner sported one of the most fantastical Halloween costume ideas as she posed on a white horse, reported Daily Mail. The look also doubled up as her birthday outfit as she attended her own party at the Blind Dragon in West Hollywood on November 3 of that year.
